Last year DJ Beast Mode took out the Australian DMC title, then went on to Tokyo and became Australia’s first ever DMC World Champion.
Can another Australian DJ do it this year?
The road to London starts here.
The 2026 Australian DMC DJ Championships National Final hits Oxford Art Factory on Sunday 11 October, presented by Technics.
Two categories. Open and Classic. Two completely different sides of DJ battling, with some of Australia’s best DJs going up for the National titles.
Open and Classic
Open brings the new generation of battle DJs to the floor. No equipment restrictions and pure creativity unleashed.
Expect club DJs and party rockers performing mashups and flips of your favourite songs, with routines built to move a crowd.
Going up in Open:

Four DJs advance from the Online Eliminations. One more gets through via the AlphaTheta People’s Choice vote. They join D Pak to make six Open finalists.
Then there is Classic.
Turntablism on fire. Cuts, juggles, routines and pure skills on the decks. This is DMC at its roots.

Four DJs advance from the Online Eliminations to take on defending champion Patty B. Five DJs make the Classic National Final.
The Online Elimination videos go live Sunday 6 September. Judging begins and the AlphaTheta People’s Choice voting opens.
All National Finalists will be announced Sunday 20 September.
Both Australian champions will be heading to London for the DMC World Finals from 12 to 15 November, with flights and accommodation covered.
The Classic Champion will also win a pair of Technics SL-1200 55th Anniversary Edition turntables, one of 12,000 built worldwide.
More prizes will be announced.
And there is plenty happening between the battles.
Beast Mode returns after making Australian DMC history in Tokyo, alongside Total Eclipse from the X-Ecutioners, an ITF World Champion.
Last year, we brought the National Final back to Sydney for the first time in 29 years. After the huge success of 2025, we are back in Sydney for 2026, taking over Oxford Art Factory for the second year running.
The Championships are presented by Technics, with Gold partners AlphaTheta and DJ City, Silver partners UDG, Ortofon and Phase through Electric Factory, Official Radio Partner Cada, and support from Reloop, MixR, Pro DJ HQ, United DJ School, DJs United and Alchemy Clothing Company.
